For the first time ever, I followed the entire Apple event. The event started with the announcement of the Apple watch 4. This piece of tech really impressed me. I mean there is so much that the watch can do to make our life easy. The watch keeps you connected with phone calls, messages and notifications without the need to physically interact with your phone. You can now track sports updates, your boarding information and many more things.

The Apple watch 4 is powered by a 64-bit dual core processor and has a 30% larger screen. It's like a bezel-less screen. The back of the watch is entirely made of black ceramic and Sapphire crystal. The speaker is also redesigned so it is 50% louder. It has GPS so it's going to be fun to track your workout sessions.
Apple watch 4 also detects a fall and sends an SOS message with your location to your emergency contacts. Though Apple hopes that we never need this feature but it's good to have it on our watch.
Health has been the core of Apple watch as well. They announced three new heart features. First being a notification when your heart rate drops too low. The second feature is that the watch can screen your heart rhythm. That means it can detect any irregular rhythm that appears to be Atrial fibrillation.
The third feature is made possible by an electrical heart sensor. The back Sapphire crystal and the digital crown has electrodes that allows us to take an electrocardiogram (ECG). It's as simple as opening the app and placing your finger on the digital crown. All this takes not more than 30 seconds. All ECG recordings and their classifications are stored in the health app in PDF format that you can share with your doctor.
This feature has got FDA clearance in the US and will be available to people in the US later this year though its still not confirmed when people outside thet US will get to use this. With all these features Apple claims an 18 hour All-day battery life.
Apple watch 4 will be available in various trims from September 21 2018 with a starting price of $399 for the GPS varient and $499 for the cellular varient. That's it for now. My next blog on the iPhone will be coming soon so stay tuned.
