Motorola was once the best budget smartphone with near stock android experience. I still use the Moto G5 Plus as my secondary device and it works like a charm. Today budget Android One/near stock android smartphones from brands such as Nokia, Asus, Xiaomi and many more have crushed Motorola. Apart from that software updates in the past few years has been terrible. Last year's Moto G6 series didn't sell at all. What do you think about Motorola? Please leave your comments below.
Let's quickly take a look at the Moto G7 series this year. Motorola announced the Moto G7 Plus, Moto G7, Moto G7 Power & the Moto G7 Play.
The Moto G7 is powered by the Snapdragon 636 processor with similar RAM & storage option as the Moto G7 Plus. The screen is the similar as well. A fingerprint reader is placed under the dual camera at the rear. The Moto G7 gets a dual 12MP, f/1.8 + 5MP camera setup at the rear and an 8MP selfie camera in the front. The Moto G7 runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Moto actions and gets a 3,000 mAh battery with support for 15W charging. The Moto G7 will be available in Ceramic Black and Clear White.
The Moto G7 Power is powered by the Snapdragon 632 processor with 3GB/32GB storage option & MicroSD card support. The phone gets a 6.2" HD+ display. The Moto G7 Power gets a single 12MP, f/20 camera setup at the rear and an 8MP selfie camera in the front. The Moto G7 Power runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Moto actions and gets a 5,000 mAh battery with support for 15W charging.
The Moto G7 Play is powered by the Snapdragon 632 processor with 2GB/32GB storage option & MicroSD card support. The phone gets a 5.7" HD+ display. The Moto G7 Play gets a single 13MP, f/20 camera setup at the rear and an 8MP selfie camera in the front. The Moto G7 Play runs on Android 9.0 Pie with Moto actions and gets a 3,000 mAh battery with support for 15W charging.
All these phones come with USB-C ports. That' s really nice.Hopefully Motorola gets the pricing right this time as the G6 series last year was too expensive compared to other mid-range smartphones.
