The Samsung Galaxy S-Series for 2019

Finally the Samsung Galaxy S10 series is out and we have the price as well. But before we decide which one to buy let's take a look at the specifications. The S10 series phones are truly brilliant in tearms of design and specifications. Samsung this time has offered the Samsung Galaxy S10e that's the most affordable of the lot, the Samsung Galaxy S10 & the Samsung Galaxy S10+. All the three phones get  a beautiful Infinity-O display and are Dynamic AMOLED panels (HDR10 capable).



Lets start with the Samsung Galaxy S10e which retail for Rs 55,990 and is the most affordable one. Samsung Galaxy S10e comes with a 5.8" Dynamic AMOLED screen (1080 x 2280 pixels) which is HRD10 capable. Samsung Galaxy S10e is powered by the Exynos 9820 (8 nm) processor coupled with Mali-G76 MP12 - EMEA GPU. Samsung Galaxy S10e comes in two variants 6GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB storage options with support for MicroSD card. The phone packs a 3,100 mAh battery with Samsung Adaptive Fast charging, support for wireless charging and Reverse wireless charging as well. This should give you full day battery. The S10e gets a fingerprint reader mounted on the power button and USB type-c port along with a 3.5mm audio jack.



Let's talk about the cameras. At the rear we have a dual-camera setup. We get a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.5-2.5 variable aperture (26mm wide). It also gets dual pixel phase detection auto-focus with OIS support. We have a second 16MP lens with f/2.2 aperture which is 12mm ultra-wide. In the front we get a 10MP selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture.



Samsung Galaxy S10 comes with a 6.1Dynamic AMOLED screen (1440 x 3040 pixels) which is HRD10 capable. Samsung Galaxy S10 is powered by the Exynos 9820 (8 nm) processor coupled with Mali-G76 MP12 - EMEA GPU. Samsung Galaxy S10 comes in two variants 8GB/128GB and 8GB/512GB storage options with support for MicroSD card. The phone packs a 3,400 mAh battery with Samsung Adaptive Fast charging, support for wireless charging and Reverse wireless charging as well. This should easily give you full day battery. The S10 gets an Ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor and USB type-c port along with a 3.5mm audio jack.



At the rear we have a triple-camera setup. We get a 12MP primary sensor with f/1.5-2.5 variable aperture (26mm wide). It also gets dual pixel phase detection auto-focus with OIS support. We have a second 12MP lens with f/2.4 aperture which is 2x telephoto lens. This lens gets OIS a well. The third is a 16MP, 12mm ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture. In the front we get a 10MP selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture. The S10 starts at Rs 66,900 for the 8GB/128GB variant and Rs 84,900 for 8GB/512GB variant.



Samsung Galaxy S10+ comes with a 6.4Dynamic AMOLED screen (1440 x 3040 pixels) which is HRD10 capable. Samsung Galaxy S10+ is powered by the Exynos 9820 (8 nm) processor coupled with Mali-G76 MP12 - EMEA GPU. Samsung Galaxy S10+ comes in three variants 8GB/128GB, 8GB/512GB and 12GB/ 1TB storage options with support for MicroSD card. The phone packs a 4,100 mAh battery with Samsung Adaptive Fast charging, support for wireless charging and Reverse wireless charging as well. This should easily give you more than a day battery. Like the S10, the S10+ also gets an Ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor and USB type-c port along with a 3.5mm audio jack.

The Samsung Galaxy S10e seems to be the most tempting of the lot. It will be really interesting to see how the S-series fair against the competition as all the three would compete with phones like the OnePlus 6T, Honor View 20, Huawei Mate 20 Pro, iPhone XR, iPhone XS, iPhone XS MAX, LG G8 and many more.
