Redmi Note 7 Pro. The best bet under Rs 15,000.

Redmi Note 7 Pro may have some serious competition today but it still holds up pretty well. At under Rs 15,000.00 what Xiaomi offers is simply unmatched. The built, design and the hardware all put together makes it an unbelievable package. It may not be a perfect smartphone, but it definitely beats the shit out of the competition.

It's a great upgrade in every aspect. The Redmi Note 7 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 674 chipset with Adreno 612 GPU. The Snapdragon 675 maybe slightly inferior in terms of GPU performance when compared to the Snapdragon 710 but it comes with the latest Kryo 460 core which will give it an edge in CPU performance. The Snapdragon 710 will have an advantage in image post processing. It also has a superior ISP (Image Signal Processing) & DSP (Digital Signal Processing).

The Redmi Note 7 Pro has a 6.3" IPS LCD screen with Full HD+ resolution and 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The screen is crisp and plenty bright. It gets Corning Gorilla Glass 5 in the front and back. The screen has an almost bezel less display with a water drop notch and a slightly bigger chin. The Redmi Note 7 Pro comes in 4GB/64GB & 6GB/128GB storage options. It also get Hybrid Dual SIM that supports 2 SIMs or 1 SIM and a MicroSD card up to 256GB.

Let's talk about the most interesting thing in the phone. The Camera. Xiaomi has used a primary 48MP Sony IMX 586 sensor with f/1.8 aperture at the back coupled with a secondary 5MP depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture. In the primary 48MP sensor each individual pixel has a size of 0.8 micron. This sensor uses pixel binning to combine information from four pixels into one pixel hence increasing the size of each individual pixel to 1.6 micron. You can take 48MP shots by using the 48MP mode in the pro mode. The rear camera at the back can record 4k videos at 30fps and 1080p videos at 30/60/120fps. In the front we get a 13MP selfie shooter that can record 1080p videos at 30fps.

Xiaomi has added some great stuff such as the 3.5mm audio jack, USB type-C port, Qualcomm quick charge 4.0, Bluetooth 5.0 and a 4000 mAh battery. Redmi Note 7 Pro runs on MIUI 10 over Android Pie 9.0 and should get MIUI 11 soon. For a starting price of Rs 13,999.00 Redmi Note 7 Pro is still the best bet.
